RARE. 1960s Vintage Italian Coupè clamp-on table lamp by Joe Colombo for O-Luce. Rich orange lacquered metal. Fully adjustable, pivots, rotates and height adjustment with one mechanism. Painted aluminum, chrome plated metal, lacquered metal base. Included in the book: Joe Colombo, Vitra Design Museum. Marked inside shade. The Coupé lamp was designed by Joe Colombo after he designed the Spider lamp series. Joe Colombo’s main focus in the design of the Coupé lamp was the simplicity and functionality of the connection of the light source/shade with the lamp support.
The Coupé lamp is also part of the permanent collection of the MoMa and won the 1968 International Design Award.
