Marianne Westman (1928-2017), Sweden. She studied ceramics at the prestigious University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, in 1946. After graduation Marianne she was a designer for Rorstrand ceramic factory, in Lidköping. Westman is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
In the 1960s she expanded her range into her own stoneware collections. In the late 1970s she returned to her home town to design patterns for the family's textile studio.
In 2008, Rörstrand relaunched the classic floral pattern of Mon Amie, in cooperation with Marianne Westman.
