Sterling silver and enamel pendant by Bjorn Sigurd Ostern for David Andersen. 1960s, Norway. Marked. 1.5" x 2.25". In excellent condition. 

Bjorn Sigurd Ostern (1938-2023) Norway,  is known for his work as a silver jewelry designer and metalsmith. He primarily designed for two silver workshops, including David-Andersen, in Norway, and his own small studio. His work includes Modernist interpretations of traditional Scandinavian motifs along with abstract designs.

Bjorn studied at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Norway from 1956 through 1961. In 1963 a scholarship from de Beers allowed him to study in the United States, and in 1964-1965 he held exhibitions of his work in New York.
