Pair of Cord Chairs by California Modern designer Allan Gould. Made of hemp cord and steel rod very sturdy and fun to sit in. Fabulous condition RARE USA 1950’s.

Very sculptural and architectural. Elegant & beautifully woven.

Chairs re-strung, frame in excellent vintage condition. Ottoman original.

Allan Gould (1908 - 1988) was an American artist and designer who was born and raised in NYC. Gould taught at the Design Laboratory of New York , Pratt, and University of Southern California. His designs are in the NY MOMA Good Design Collection as well as their permanent collection. Gould passed away in 1988 in Puerto Rico.
