Niels Erik From (1908-1982), Danish silversmith opened his studio in 1931 at the age of 23. In 1944 he registered the brand name "N.E.From". In the early years, Niels was known for his floral jewelry in the Danish Arts and Crafts style often set with semi-precious stones. In the 1960s, under the direction of his son, Hilmer Jensen, the company started to manufacture in a more modernist style.
